Nicknamed as " Queen Of Hills " is a hill station near Dehradun in the Uttarakhand state of India. Mussoorie known for its snow capped mountains, lush green landscape, calm and cool breeze. 1. KEMPTY FALL 


Known for its Milky Stream Water, KEMPTY FALL was developed by a British Officer as a place for organizing tea parties. At a height of 4500 ft surrounded by the Valley of Mussoorie. Tourists like to enjoy the refreshing bath under the 40 ft Kempty Waterfall. One can also enjoy the refreshing boating near by man made pond. Plunging from a height of almost 1,364 meters, these fall offers spectacular views of the valley around it. Bathe in the water of the pool formed at the bottom of the fall, click some pictures or sir by the side of the cascading fall. 

2. LAL TIBBA


Perched on the Depot Hill in Landour, Lal Tibba is one of the highest viewpoints in Mussoorie, Just 6 km from the city centre, this Vantage point rests at an altitude of 2,275 meter so you can only imagine the views from up here. The name of the viewpoint literally translates to Red Hill, which is a direct reference to the colour of the sky visible from here during the sunrise and sunset. On a cloudless day you will be able to view peaks like Bandarpunch, Kedarnath and Badrinath from this view point. The telescope installed at Lal Tibba let you soak in the beauty of it all. 


3. GUN HILL POINT


The second highest peak in Mussorie Gun Hill Point is one of the most popular viewpoints in the area. Located at a distance of 1.7 km from the Mall Road, this viewpoint can be reached by a 20 minute uphill trek. Apart from a 360 degree view of the town and other parts of the Doon Valley gives view of Himalayan Range namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group etc. 


4. COMPANY GARDEN


At a distance of around 3 km from the Mall Road, the Company Garden in Mussorie makes a perfect spot to spend quality time with your family and friends. The entire plan of this garden was laid down by Dr. H Fackner and it is maintained by the Garden Welfare Association of Mussorie. You will find beautiful foundation, lush greenery, colourful birds, and different varieties of flowers while taking a walk around the garden. 


5. CLOUDS END MUSSORIE


If solitude is what you are looking for on your next trip to Mussorie, clouds end is where you should be at. A scenic stretch of lush deodar and oak forest, this place is located 6 km from the Library Road and mark the geographical end of the hill town. You can reach Clouds end by Trekking along the Hathipaon road from the the Happy Valley Area. Besides offering stunning and mesmerising views throughout the day, this place has the most surreal setting for watching the sun go up and down in the azure sky. 

6. JHARIPANI FALL 



Situated in the quaint village Jharipani about 7 km from the city centre of Mussorie is the stunning Jharipani Fall. Its charm lies in its secluded Location that is not marred by tourists crowds yet. You can spend hours soaking in the beauty of the Fall , clicking good picture or simply appreciating the views of the scenery around the waterfall including those of Shivalik Range. You will also find variety of Flowers in bloom at the site. The route to the fall is simple and can be easily covered via a car.


7. MUSSOORIE LAKE 


A man made lake yet one of the most beautiful sites in the city. Mussoorie lake has been a popular tourist attraction recently. Apart from boating on the lake, you can try water zorbing and zip lining here. There are several small souvenir shops, restaurant and horror house near the lake. So after you have had your share of fun at the lake , sit down for a delectable lunch.


8. CAMEL BACK ROAD MUSSORIE


Located in the heart of Mussorie, the camel's  back road is a 3 km long road lining with natural rock shaped like a camels hump. It overlook the Doon Valley and offers a stunning view of the Himalayas. It is also a popular place for viewing the sunrise and sunset. Take a long walk along this road or coming here to an early morning jog is the best way to explore what this beautiful road has to offer.


9. DALAI HILLS 


One of the most beautiful location in Mussorie, Uttrakhand. Dalai Hills is situated above the Lal Bahadur Academy and is quite close to Happy Valley. It is synonymous with utter tranquility as well as with arresting views of the mighty Himalayas and the green valley. The Dalai Hills overlook the beautiful Garhwal ranges and are known for the numerous Tibetan prayer flags and for the statue of Lord Buddha. There is also a Buddhist temple here. The trees, plants, and flowers make the area perfect for nature lovers while the trail through the forest are ideal for hiking. Given the serenity and the views, this location is great to catching the sunset, having a picnic with family, for camping and also for photography.


10. DEVALSARI 



Situated in the Aglar Valley of Tehri Garhwal, Devalsari is about 55 km from Mussorie, Uttrakhand and is known for being a relatively unexplored area which is also a nature lovers paradise. Surrounded by lush green meadows and the imposing mountains, Devalsari attracts crowds looking for peace and for adventure. 

It is renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, including 70 species of colourful butterflies and more than 60 species of birds. One can come here not only for birds watching or for admiring the many butterflies, but also for admiring the many butterflies. 


11. BHATTA FALL 


The Bhatta Fall in Mussorie is a famous Picnic spot and a popular tourist attraction. Located at a distance of about 10.5 kilometres from the Mussorie Library Bus Stand, the Bhatta Fall is hailed as one of the best waterfall in Mussorie. Reaching the exact spot of the Waterfall required a little hike of 500 meters, making it a good place for the adventure ethusiasts too. 

The natural waterfall cascades down from an altitude it 30 Feet into a circular pool. One of the most incredible facts about Bhatta Fall is that it is not yet commercialized, which retains its natural setting and offers peace to the visitors. 


12. JWALA DEVI TEMPLE


JWALA DEVI TEMPLE perched a top the Benog Hills in Mussorie dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is believed that one who visits this temple is resurrected from the sufferings of life and is bestowed with sacredness. Apart from pilgrims, nature lovers also visit the place to admire the thick green forest around the temple as well as the Yamuna River and Shivalik Range. JWALA DEVI TEMPLE houses an old stone idol of Goddess Durga. The temple stands at an altitude of 2104 meters and one has the trek for about 2 kilometres uphill to reach the temple. The path starts from Clouds End and passes through thick vegetation of line and deodar trees. The trek offers some phenomenal view of the Shivalik Range. 


13. MUSSOORIE CHRIST CHURCH


Situated on little hill lock slightly above the Kasmada Palace, Mussorie Christ Church boasts of being the very first Catholic Church in all of the Himalayan region. Built in 1836, the exquisite church is an exemplary example of Gothic Architecture which evolved from Romanesque architecture. The prominent structure style being followed. Mussoorie Christ Church exhibit the pointed arches, ribbed vault and flying buttresses ideal to the gothic style. With its colonial charm and old wood feels, the entire complex transport you back in the vintage era. Furnished with gorgeous pre- Raphaelite glass window. This fetching piece of art was a gift to India from British. The hight altar is adorned by with caricature and the life and times of Christ town from birth to his sufferings and certification. To add to the brilliance of the church, are the beautifully done interior walls and a strikingly century old William Hill Organ. Besides the church complex offers enticing views of the Doon Valley on the sides, to further soothe your sense. 


14. BHADRAJ TEMPLE


Situated in Bradraj on the western part of Mussorie, the Bradraj Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna Brother Lord Bal Bhadra or Balram. Besides it's religious significance, the temple is known for the long 11 km trek that it takes to reach it. Known as the Milkman's Trail, it starts from Clouds End in Dehradun. Bradraj Temple is perched on a hill top and overlook the magnificent Doon Valley, Jausar Bawar and the Chakrata ranges. It is believed that by praying here, people are granted the wishes they most desire, just like at the Badrinath temple. Many offers milk, ghee and butter to the idol of Balaram which is only purified with milk.

The mall road is the central hub of Mussorie and is definitely a must visit on your trip to the city. It has a bunch of places, couple of things and plenty of activities to do when a vacation to the Mall. 


16. SHEDUP CHOEPELLING TEMPLE


SHEDUP CHOEPELLING TEMPLE is an ancient and an intricate Buddhist temple located in Mussorie. Constructed in the Tibetan style of architecture, SHEDUP CHOEPELLING TEMPLE was built and managed by the Tibetan community of Mussorie. It is nestled in the quaint Happy Valley. The serenity of the temple will make you succumb to the divinity. 
 

17. NAG TIBBA


One of the favorite spot to include your Mussorie hill station sightseeing tour, Nag Tibba is located around 60 kilometres away from the city centre the peak is perched into the Garhwal Region of the Lower Himalayas, at a height of 3,050 meters. A 20 kilometres long trail Along the beautiful valley and hills will take you atop Nag Tibba where you will find a small temple.
