SATTAL - (UTTRAKHAND)

Sattal is a cluster of mysterious inter-connected freshwater lakes located in the Nainital district of Kumaon region. Sattal that suggests the 'seven lakes' is a scenic place which exhibits idyllic surrounding accentuated by the delightful atmosphere. Sattal is perfect place for peace lovers , is located at 1370mts about sea level offering splendor of nature .

Sattal is one of the few unspoiled and unpolluted fresh biomes in India. The names of 7 lakes  of Sattal are Purna Tal , Ram Tal , Sita Tal , Laxman Tal , Nal Damayanti Tal , Sukh Tal and Garud Tal .A Perfect Place to spend time with your family and friends by the lakeside. The essence of Sattal is the outdoor and staying in a camp by the Lake gives you a great taste of wildlife and adventure.

These lakes are paradise for migratory birds as they stay for some time here during their migration. These birds try to escape the harsh cold of the great Himalayan region by migrating to lower areas of the Himalayas. If you are an avid birder and photography fantasize this is an ideal place for you.

A lot of fishes like Mahseers and Catla are found here. Infact , Sattal sees a huge amount of gorgeous butterflies like peacock and red lacewing. It's an abode to many migratory birds and given shelters to different kinds of trees and plants.

It is located 23km from Nainital with Kathgodam as its nearest Railway station. Sattal can be easily reach within 6-7 hrs of time. Nearest Airport for Sattal is Pantnagar Airport which is about 61 km away from Sattal. Sattal is also connected well with motorable roads connection major cities and towns of Uttrakhand.
