GURUDWARA SRI HEMKUNT SAHIB - RISHIKESH (UTTRAKHAND)



Sri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara located in Rishikesh was founded by Shri Hemkund Trust, and often acts as the first place to be visited by devotees and tourists before continuing their journey to the sacred Hemkund Sahib which is at a distance of about 274 km away from Rishikesh.

It is necessary to register yourself and without registration you cannot visit the Hemkund Sahib. This act as the first half for the pilgrims as they continue their holy journey. This Gurudwara is located amid right a busting market. The whole complex is quite large and looks quite spectacular making it more alluring and divine.

Rishikesh Gurudwara also have accomodation and a school for orphan making it more scared and holy. If you wish to stay inside then you should make prior arrangements and bookings since it is usually booked out

INSIDE THE GURUDWARA

It is compulsory for Pilgrims to first visit the main hall, pay respect to the Guru Granth Sahib, located in the Darbar Hall without doing it, a pilgrim should never leave. The Rishikesh Gurudwara is a two stories and the Darbar Hall is located on the top floor the Darbar Hall is intricate design and the decor will left you flabbergasted also the ceiling have some amazing crafting.

The nearest Railway station is Rishikesh Railway station and nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport. You can easily reach there by road as the roads are wide and safe.
