THE BEATLES ASHRAM - RISHIKESH (UTTRAKHAND)

Formally known as Chaurasia Kutia, Beatles Ashram is a famous spot for your visit in Rishikesh and widely popular among youngster and specially to those who are a huge fan of Beatles Band. This place gained a lot of hype and achieved wide recognition after the Beatles Band of Liverpool came to stay there in the year 1986. During their stay the members of the band composed many good songs and practiced meditation during their stay in Rishikesh. 

In the later period, the ashram was left abandoned but was reopened for tourists in year 2015 this places attracts history buffs, experience seekers, peace and deep meditation. Smitten by holy township, the band member Ringo Starr awaited his trip in Rishikesh for 10 days, Paul McCartney for five weeks in while John Lennon and George Harrison spent eight weeks learning meditation. 

The Walls Of chaurasia Kutia also known as " Beatles Ashram" are dominant by the muralsof John Lennon and other band members, luring music lovers from all over the world come here to visit this place. One can see the vandalised building, graffiti art and other floral pattern illegally painted by the visitors.

Since the Chaurasia Kutia, falls under the area of Rajaji National Park visitors are asked to pay Rs 150 for Indian visitors while Rs 600 for foreign visitors.

You can visit there in any month of the year but we strongly recommend you to visit this place in early morning so that you can endure the natural abundance of environmental energy.

The ashram is only 2 km away from Ram Jhula and 3 km away from Lakshman Jhula, nearest Railway station is Rishikesh Railway station and nearest Airport is Jolly Grant Airport. Taxi to Beatles Ashram is easily available there.
