SALASAR BALAJI TEMPLE - SALASAR DHAM (RAJASTHAN)


Salasar Balaji is a temple located in the town of Sujangarh in Churu  district of Rajasthan, India. This Temple is dedicated to Balaji Maharaj another name is Hanuman. Every year numerous devotees are attract towards the Temple. Devotees came here for Blessings from all the world. You can also feel the presence of Lord Hanuman. Salasar Dham is in a religious circuit of centers of Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, Rani Sati Dadiji Temple and The Salasar Balaji. Every Year big fairs are organised here in the month of Chaitra and Ashwin.

 Temple is made up of White Marble. The Prayer Hall of the temple and the Sanctum is marvously designed in the work of Silver and Gold. It's is believed that those who visit this temple and offering Prayers has resulted in many miracles and fulfillment of wishes of the worshippers. This is the only Temple of Hanuman ji in India which has beard and moustache. 

Every Year Two fairs are organized in Salasar Dham on "Sharad Purnima and Chaitra Purnima ( Hanuman Janmotsav )". This holy place is entirely devoid of pomposity. Here only the devotees has a direct relationship with God.

HISTORY

Legend's told us that when a farmer was ploughing his field, he found the idol of Lord Hanuman. He and his wife also worshipped Lord Hanuman as Balaji. Also there was a nearby village called Asota where Balaji came in the dreams of Thakur of the village and ordered him to send the idol of Hanuman to Salasar. Then the idol of Balaji was brought here today we know as Salasar Balaji.


HOW TO REACH SALASAR BALAJI

Jaipur Railway Station and Airways are very near to Salasar Town. After Reaching here the visitor have to hire a taxi or bus to reach the temple.

OPENING/CLOSING HOURS

Remains Open for the Visitors from 4 in the morning till 10 in the night.

THINGS TO DO

There are several temples which are located in the surrounding of the main temple of Lord Balaji. The most famous among them and often visited by the tourists is the Mata Anjana Devi Temple which is about 1 km away from The Salasar Balaji Dham.

POPULAR RITUALS

Other than the annual fairs held at the Salasar Balaji Mandir, several other interesting religious practices are observed in Salasar Dham. A few of these include Savamani or offering food up to 50 kilograms in weight of the deity, tying of coconut in the temple premises using moli, singing artis , reciting bhajans and Ramayana.
