SHRI KRISHNA JANMASTHAN TEMPLE - MATHURA (UTTARPRADESH)

Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple is located in Mathura in state of Uttarpradesh. It is one of the most famous and attractive temple of India. Lord Krishna is workshipped in hundreds of temples accross the world a few temple stands out to be conspicuously above other places of Krishna's Birth , Vrindavan where he spent his childhood and Dwarka where he spent his adulthood life. 

Mathura is the abode of God and Divinity. Mathura also known as Brij Bhoomi is one of the holiest location in India with lage number of Hindu Temples. It is well known for its history, archaeology, religious history, art , folk art and culture. It stands on the bank of the Yamuna River.

Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple is centred on the prison cell where Lord Krishna's parents, Mata Devaki and Vasudeva, were imprisoned by his wicked uncle Kansa. The holy ambiance and purity of the temple infuse the confidence that, it's the spot where Lord Krishna revealed himself. Shri Krishna occupied an special place in our heart , Mischievous tales from his childhood to regale us and make him beloved by everyone.

CAMERA AREN'T ALLOWED INSIDE THE TEMPLE DUE TO SECURITY PURPOSE. MOST TEMPLE IN THE MATHURA PROHIBIT CELL PHONE AND CAMERAS THEREFORE TRY TO AVOID THEM.

The Krishna Janmasthan Temple is heavily filled with devotees on the special occasions such as Janmashtami, Holi, Basant Panchami and Diwali.

HISTORY OF SHRI KRISHNA JANMASTHAN TEMPLE

Krishna Janmabhoomi holds a special place in the heart and Soul of devotees of Lord Krishna around the world. The King Kansa, Krishna's Maternal Uncle ,ruled Mathura during his birth. According to Legend, Akashvani (a heavenly declaration) foretold Kansa's death by the hands of Devaki's eighth child.

In response to the announcement he imprisoned Shri Vasudeva and Mata Devaki and arranged for the murder of all of her children. However Devaki gave birth to Lord Krishna at midnight during her 8th month of Pregnancy. 

All the jail's door were left open on that night due to a miracle performed by Lord Vishnu. Vasudeva brought the infant in a basket over the Yamuna after his birth.

TIMINGS OF SHRI KRISHNA JANMASTHAN TEMPLE

From the month of April to November, Aarti timings are from 5 am to 12 pm in the morning and from 4 pm to 9:30 pm in the evening. The garbha griha visit timings are from 5 am to 9:30 pm 

From the Month of November to April, Aarti timings are from 5:30 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 8:30 pm in the evening. The garbha griha visit timings are from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm.
